A founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Urbix (now Allied Graphite), Nico Cuevas has spent more than a decade advancing graphite processing innovation and U.S.-based battery materials manufacturing.
With engineering roots and a passion for sustainable industrial development, he led Urbix’s evolution from laboratory concept to commercial pilot, establishing critical relationships across the EV, energy storage, and materials technology ecosystems.
Educated in engineering management at the University of Arizona and civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Nico combines technical rigor with entrepreneurial instinct. His work has focused on scaling environmentally responsible purification and coating technologies that enable high-performance anode materials with lower carbon footprints.
As Vice Chairman, he continues to shape Allied Graphite’s long-term technology roadmap and commercialization strategy, championing American leadership in advanced graphite processing and vertical integration across the supply chain.
