Built on innovation. Focused on execution.

Allied Graphite builds on a foundation of technical development to deliver advanced graphite materials through disciplined engineering, operational focus, and long-term collaboration with its partners.

Our History and Evolution

Allied Graphite traces its origins to earlier days of North America’s lithium-ion battery supply chain.

Founded in 2014 by a multidisciplinary team of entrepreneurs and engineers, the company was established at a time when large-scale battery manufacturing was beginning to take shape in the US. The founding team recognized the need for a domestic source of battery-grade natural graphite and set out to bridge the gap between raw material supply and the emerging requirements of battery manufacturers.

As engagement with customers and materials experts deepened, it became clear that supplying graphite for lithium-ion batteries required far more than access to raw material. High-purity, precisely engineered graphite was essential — and conventional processing routes presented technical, safety, and scalability challenges.

In response, the team chose to pursue a differentiated technical path, investing in proprietary purification and processing approaches that could meet battery-grade requirements while supporting long-term scalability. This commitment marked the company’s transition from a commercialization concept into a technology-driven advanced materials platform.

From 2017 onward, Allied Graphite expanded its technical capabilities in Mesa, Arizona, advancing its processes from bench-scale development through laboratory and pilot-scale validation. During this period, the company assembled a growing team of engineers, operators, and project professionals focused on translating laboratory performance into repeatable, industrial processes.

As the platform matured, the company entered its next phase: preparing for commercial execution. Strategic partnerships, institutional capital, and experienced leadership were added to support disciplined scale-up, project delivery, and operational readiness.

Today, Allied Graphite builds on this foundation of innovation and technical rigor with a clear focus on execution — assembling the capabilities, infrastructure, and team required to deliver battery-grade graphite materials at commercial scale for North American supply chains.

Our Mission, Vision and Values

We secure access to critical minerals and transform them into higher-value products for Western markets. Today, that means completing the natural-graphite anode supply chain for electric vehicles and energy storage. Tomorrow, it means pioneering new generations of advanced carbon and material technologies.

  • Excellence through rigor and continuous improvement: We pursue consistent, high-performing products through deep technical understanding, attention to detail, confidence in our capabilities, and a commitment to testing and refining our convictions with high-quality empirical data.
  • Partnership, transparency, and collaboration: We believe every project succeeds through strong partnerships—with customers, suppliers, investors, communities, and governments—supported by openness, trust, and collaboration at all levels.
  • Agility with purpose: We move quickly to try new approaches, outwork our peers, and stay adaptable, motivated by the meaningful impact our work has on the energy economy and national security.
